A heartfelt community initiative by Mimosa Mall staff members and tenants has brought hope and warmth to 13 local families this winter.
Through the “Settled, with Love” campaign, individuals from across the shopping centre came together in their personal capacities to raise R6 490, which was used to settle outstanding lay-bys at Pep in Mimosa Mall.
The lay-bys included baby clothing, school uniforms and warm winter clothing, allowing families to collect essential items they had already been paying towards.
Rather than providing handouts, the initiative focused on helping families complete something they had already started, preserving dignity while easing the financial pressure many face during the colder months.
The initiative was driven by a simple belief that meaningful change often begins with ordinary people choosing to care.
